The Cortopalo Film Festival is organised by the local council of Portopalo, the southernmost town in Europe, a maritime town in the province of Syracuse which has a great cultural tradition and where it is still possible to admire the ‘tonnara’ tunny-fishing. The Cortopalo Film Festival is a meeting place for new regional, national and international cinema with its varied artistic tendencies and with particular emphasis on the emerging and young film industry.
